In comparison to Shahrukh Khan and Anushka Sharma, the screen space of Katrina Kaif is very low. Her role in the movie is almost about 25% only. Though she was not ready to do the movie at first and thought to reconsider it. Seeing the potential of the character of Babita Kumari she finally said Yes to the movie.
Abhay Deol and R. Madhavan are said to have a special appearance in the movie Zero.
Katrina Kaif is playing the role of real-time celebrity and was the first to be casted for the movie.

The names of the movie changed many times to match with the changing storyline. Some of them are bauna, bauwa, batla, and dwarf. But later it was finalized as Zero.

The shooting technique used for Shahrukh khan’s zero is VFX and force perspective. This technique helps in creating an illusion with the use of camera angle so the characters can be portrayed as required be it small or large.
Some scenes of this movie were shot three to four times.
The backgrounds of the movie were shot individually, and then the related mergers were done.
