Veeru Devgan, the real Singham of Bollywood, is no more with us anymore. He took his last breath on the 27th of May 2019. Health of Veeru Devgan was steadily deteriorating from last many days.
Veeru Devgan is among the legendary stunt directors that Bollywood will always remember. The loss of Veeru Devgan; father of Ajay Devgan is major and is hard to recover. He has worked in noteworthy Bollywood movies like Himmatwala, Hindustan Ki Kasam, etc. Plus a major list of actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Jeetendra also worked under his stunt direction. Even the iconic entry of Ajay Devgan in his first movie Phool or Kaante was also directed by Veeru Devgan only.

The answer to this question was given by Ajay Devgan in of his interviews only; where he shared some of his experiences with his father. He once said that when his father Veeru Devgan was working as a stunt director has suffered various injuries. His head was covered with more than 50 stitches, and almost all his bones were broken too. It is the implication of how much Veeru Devgan was dedicated in his work. Now you got the meaning behind calling Veeru Devgan the real Singham.
